JD is currently working on THREE, yes THREE new albums at once.
The long awaited soon to be honky tonk classic, "One Foot On The Road" is in the overdub stage.
It will feature at least 14 songs including "Whiskey Tree" and the Waylon Jennings co-write,
"Drinkin' Stories". The album is heavy on outlaw country in the tradition of Waylon, Cash and
Bocephus. It also explores the Bakersfield and Memphis rockabilly sounds which JD weaves
effortlessly. The album is also a statement about the condition of country music today and will further
solidify that JD is one of the guys that can save it!
There has been a recorder going at virtually every show over the past two years, so
a live album is LONG OVERDUE!
Finally, JD has decided to do a tribute album to the guy that made him want to play
music in the first place, Elvis Presley. It will feature songs that JD feels have been
overlooked....not to say there won't be a couple of the hits, but primarily songs that
only hardcore Elvis fans will know. He is going to do the songs HIS way while keeping
the fire and spirit of the originals intact. Hopefully Elvis fans will embrace it and it will
bring new fans to JD. The album is going to kick serious ass and will be titled, "JD SINGS EP"!
PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT JD CURRENTLY HAS A NEW COMPILATION CD SIMPLY TITLED
"JD MYERS"
It features fan favorites, PLUS 8 NEW SONGS: three of which are from the
upcoming
"ONE FOOT ON THE ROAD" AND "JD SINGS EP" albums!
